Messages & forms

Put one short notice in front of every visitor

The pop-up message is a notification shown to all users. It stays on screen until the visitor closes it, so your message has time to be read.

Use this when there is one thing every visitor should see, such as an announcement or a short greeting. You set it once in the panel and it applies to all users, so it suits general messages rather than personal ones.

Step by step

1

Open your message settings

Sign in at cloud.vera.support and go to Settings > Messages. The pop-up message sits there with the other automatic messages.

2

Write the pop-up text

Enter the one thing you want every visitor to read. It goes to all users, so keep the wording short and general.

3

Save and check it on your site

Save the setting, then open your own website and look at the chat. Close the pop-up as a visitor would and confirm it behaves the way you expect.

4

Use an automation for anything more specific

If you need a different pop-up in particular situations, send it as an automation instead. An automation pop-up replaces the default one from Settings > Messages.

Good to know

It waits for the visitor

The pop-up stays visible until the user closes it manually. There is no countdown that removes it.

Closed means closed

Once a visitor closes the pop-up, it stays closed for them. Write it as something worth reading the first time.

Everyone gets the same message

The pop-up set at Settings > Messages goes to all users. It is not tailored per visitor.

Automations take priority

A pop-up sent by an automation overrides the default pop-up. Only one of them will be shown.

Automation pop-ups need the chat closed

An automation pop-up appears only when the chat is closed. A visitor who already has the chat open will not see it.

Common questions

Yes, by sending it from an automation. An automation pop-up overrides the default pop-up you set at Settings > Messages.
