Keep your AI running without surprises

Credits pay for the AI work Vera.Support does on your behalf. Once you know what draws them down, you can decide whether to top up by hand or let the balance refill itself.

This guide is for anyone using the AI features in Automatic sync mode. Read it if your chatbot has gone quiet, or if you want to know where your balance is going before it runs out.

Step by step

1

Check which sync mode you are on

Open Settings > Artificial Intelligence > OpenAI > Sync mode. Automatic runs on credits. Manual runs on your own OpenAI API key and consumes no credits.

2

Check the Google side as well

The Google features have their own switch at Settings > Artificial Intelligence > Google > Sync mode. Set to Automatic, they draw on the same credit balance.

3

Buy credits

Credits are bought from the membership and billing tab of your account. For the current rates, message us from the chat bubble at the bottom-right of the screen — tell us how you plan to use the AI and we will talk you through what it is likely to cost.

4

Turn on automatic recharge

With automatic recharge enabled, your balance tops up on its own once it falls below 1. This keeps the chatbot answering while you are away from the panel.

5

Watch for the low-balance emails

If automatic recharge is off, you are notified by email when credits run out. You receive a maximum of two of these notifications.

Settings reference

SettingWhat it does
Sync mode (OpenAI) At Settings > Artificial Intelligence > OpenAI > Sync mode, chooses between Automatic, which runs on credits, and Manual, which runs on your own OpenAI API key.
Sync mode (Google) At Settings > Artificial Intelligence > Google > Sync mode, does the same for the Google features such as automatic translation and language detection.
Automatic recharge In the membership and billing tab of your account, tops the balance back up once it drops below 1.

Good to know

What actually spends credits

The AI chatbot — on a ChatGPT model or a DeepSeek model — plus spelling correction, message rewriting, speech recognition, note data scraping and copilot, and the Google features: automatic translation, language detection and multilingual via translation.

Manual mode costs no credits

In Manual mode the work runs on your own OpenAI API key, so your credit balance is untouched. The trade-off is that you look after the key and the account behind it yourself.

DeepSeek runs on credits too

Choosing deepseek-v4-pro or deepseek-v4-flash changes which model answers, not how you pay for it. Both run on your credits, and you never enter a DeepSeek key — there is no field for one.

Two switches, one balance

OpenAI and Google are set separately. Leaving one on Automatic keeps that side drawing credits even if the other is on Manual.

Only two warning emails

Without automatic recharge, you get at most two run-out notifications by email. If they are missed, the AI features stop until you top up.

You can switch at any time

Sync mode is not a one-way decision. Change it at Settings > Artificial Intelligence > OpenAI > Sync mode or Settings > Artificial Intelligence > Google > Sync mode whenever it suits you.

How this sits with your plan

Plans start at $7 per month, every feature is included, and you can cancel at any time. AI usage is separate: it runs on credits you top up. For the current rates, message us from the chat bubble at the bottom-right of the screen.

Common questions

Which features use my credits?
The AI chatbot on any model, ChatGPT or DeepSeek, along with spelling correction, message rewriting, speech recognition, note data scraping and copilot, plus the Google features: automatic translation, language detection and multilingual via translation.
Can I use the AI without buying credits?
Yes, by setting the sync mode to Manual and supplying your own OpenAI API key. Manual mode consumes no credits. Do the same on the Google side if you use the multilingual features.
Where do I buy credits?
From the membership and billing tab of your account. For the current rates, message us from the chat bubble at the bottom-right of the screen and we will go through them with you.
What happens when my credits run out?
You are notified by email, up to a maximum of two notifications. If automatic recharge is enabled, no notification is needed because the balance tops up on its own.
When does automatic recharge kick in?
Once your balance falls below 1, it tops up automatically.
Is the AI included in my plan?
Every feature is available on plans starting at $7 per month, but AI usage runs on credits you top up separately in Automatic sync mode. In Manual mode you pay your own AI account instead.
